Cub Scout Pack 454 · McMinnville, OR
Where McMinnville kids in kindergarten through 5th grade discover their best selves through adventure, friendship, and service.
Our Pack by the Numbers
What Cub Scouts Is All About
Every week, Pack 454 gives kids something to look forward to.
From camping at Silver Falls to hiking the Coast Range, Pack 454 gets kids off screens and into nature. Every outing builds confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
Dens are small — 6 to 8 kids — which means every Scout is known, included, and valued. Cross-school friendships form over shared campfires, service projects, and too many s'mores.
Cooking, first aid, woodworking, coding, and rocket building. Scouts learn by doing. Every badge earned is proof of a real skill mastered — not just a box checked.
Pack 454 believes every Scout can make McMinnville better. Trail cleanups, food drives, and parades teach kids that their effort matters — and that helping others feels great.
The Foundation of Scouting
Twelve words that guide every Scout. Simple enough for a kindergartner. Deep enough to last a lifetime.
A Scout tells the truth and keeps promises.
A Scout is true to family, friends, leaders, and nation.
A Scout cares about others and lends a hand.
A Scout is a friend to all, whatever their differences.
A Scout is polite to everyone and respects their feelings.
A Scout treats all living things gently.
A Scout follows the rules of family, school, and community.
A Scout looks for the bright side of life.
A Scout uses resources wisely and avoids waste.
A Scout faces hard situations even when afraid.
A Scout keeps body, mind, and environment clean.
A Scout respects others' beliefs and is faithful in their own.
“On my honor, I will do my best — to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
— The Scout Oath
From McMinnville Families
“My son was painfully shy in first grade. After one year with Pack 454, he stood up at the Blue & Gold Banquet and spoke in front of 80 people. I cried the entire time. These leaders are magic.”
